Staff will provide an update on financial projections for the Fiscal Year 2024 Operating Budget for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), as well as an update on the outlook for Fiscal Year 2025 especially as it pertains to MCPS fund balance both in the operating budget, as well as the Employee Benefits Plan.

The Committee will receive an update on solar panels installation, urban farm, and energy savings performance contracts.

The Human Capital Management (HCM) project began in 2021. The Oracle HCM will replace our current Human Resources Information System, which is a jointly-owned system across multiple departments. Based on the 12-month extension granted by the Board of Education in July 2023, Phase I of II will go live in December 2024. In today’s presentation, staff will provide background information, implementation status, and the project impact to the district.
