During the Board of Education’s July 14, 2015, meeting, the Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 Operating Budget Interests were discussed in detail.  The process of identifying the operating budget interests for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) serves as a strong starting point for the MCPS budget development process.  This marks the fifth year that the Board has adopted interests for the operating budget.  At the end of the discussion, the Board agreed that the Strategic Planning Committee should discuss these Operating Budget Interests at its next meeting to further refine them before the Board takes them up for adoption at its September 21, 2015, meeting.
