WHEREAS, The Board of Education (Board) is currently engaged in a search for the next superintendent of Montgomery County Public Schools, and it is necessary for the Board to continue the search beyond July 1, 2015; and  

 

WHEREAS, On February 3, 2015, the Board appointed Mr. Larry A. Bowers interim superintendent of schools from February 16 through June 30, 2015; and the Board wishes to appoint him interim superintendent for one more year beginning July 1, 2015 through
June 30, 2016; now therefore be it

 

Resolved, That the Board of Education transmit a letter to the State Superintendent of Schools requesting approval of the appointment of Mr. Larry A. Bowers to serve as interim superintendent of schools from July 1, 2015, through June 30, 2016.
